Marciana Marina has all necessary services; two banks, post office, pharmacy, first aid and public assistance, information office, all in the center of town.
Sailing: the Circolo Velico (Sailing Club), one of the best organised on the island, has 150 places for boats and organises events of national and international importance. A lot of side services are offered like boat storage or rental.
Restaurants: Marciana Marina has over 30 restaurants and pizzerias, some of them mentioned in important international restaurant guides.
Culture: during the summer season there are many cultural events, some of very high quality such as music concerts, cabaret, theatre shows.
Sport: apart from our own facilities, the Circolo Sportivo has two porous concrete tennis courts, a five-a-side football pitch, beach volleyball courts and a 25 metre pool. The Circolo della Vela organises sailing lessons for kids and adults on various boat types.
Marciana Marina hosts also the headquarters of Elba Sea Kayak who organises sea kayak lessons.
Shopping: here is only the pain of the choice. On the beach promenade and in the historical center you can find fine handicrafts, art objects and fashion clothing.
Internet: there is an internet point in the historical town center and a free Wi-Fi service provided by the Municipality.
Rentals and taxi: Marciana Marina you can find scooter rentals and taxi service with driver.
Excursions: during the summer excursions over the sea around the island and to the island of Capraia. A particular excursion can be done with an 'over-water-submarine', a boat with a glass bottom so that you can admire the marine flaura and fauna of the island.
The are many possibilities for the trekking funs. From Marciana and Poggio are departing beautiful trails through the woods and the macchia vegetation up to the summit of the Mount Capanne (1.019 meters) allowing a panoramic view over the whole island and the tuscan archipelago. From April to October a cable way allows you to reach the summit of the Monte Capanne without any effort.
This hotel is the perfect place for a romantic getaway as well as a place where families can unwind and share true quality time enjoying the many activities the hotel and the town have to offer. Their salt water pool is very therapeutic. Soak up the sun, play tennis, swim, beach it, enjoy great food and Italian wine, and sip an espresso. This hotel has it all. It is a great place to make a life of vacation memories. Wish I could visit every year, many times each year. I'm looking forward to my trip next.
The staff treats you like family, making sure you enjoy your stay. I have vacationed at this hotel since I was 9 years old, returning many times with my parents and then again with my children. Although this town never changes, no trip has ever been the same. The food is delicious wit h offerings of local fare. Their seafood dishes are their specialties. Being the only hotel in this town on the beach makes this a truly relaxing location.
